Pedro Costa(1959) Born in Lisbon, abandoned his History studies to attend classes taught by the filmmaker and poet António Reis at the Film School of Lisbon. His first movie, “O Sangue”, debuted in the Mostra Cinematografica di Venezia, Settimana della Critica, in 1989. “Casa de Lava”, his second movie, filmed in Cabo Verde, was screened in the Un Certain Regard de Cannes, in 1994. His next film, “Ossos”, was awarded with a Osella dÓro in the Cannes film festival of Venice, in 1997, among others.
