In this intimate short film, a young person reconstructs fragments of their story, tinged with melancholy, grief, and the memory of their mother. Through reflections on sadness, emotional inheritance, and the sea, 'Azul' becomes a sensitive portrait of what remains when someone is gone, and of what endures: a voice, a color, a desire. Sometimes everything is tinged with blue.
Apolo Vidal is a director and multimedia artist. Their work blends documentary theater, biodrama, and performance, exploring sound art, new media, and interdisciplinarity. They hold a degree in acting and stage direction from Universidad Mayor (2024) and a diploma in sound art from Tsonami (2025). They directed the documentary theater piece 'Azul' (2025), and their eponymous short film is currently being screened at festivals.
