‘'Blue Silence' reveals the memory of one of Chile's greatest maritime tragedies, which occurred in the 1960s: the sinking of the Janequeo.
Matías Rojas Ruz, a filmmaker from the Valparaíso University Film School, resides in Villa Alemana. His works include 'Susurros del concreto' (2021) and ‘Silencio azul’ (2025), his most recent short film, which is currently in distribution and release; while his first feature film, 'Paisajes de sitio' – a diary filmed in 16mm and Super 8mm – is in production.
